JUST SNAPPED @littleswallowchinadoll

He's a Wild(er) one

Sometimes I look at the photos around our house and I think "would anyone even know I have Wilder?"

The poor kid suffers from every story you ever hear from anyone who is a second child - way less photos than their big brother or sister, way less attention given, always had to make do with hand-me-downs etc etc.

And yeah, it's true, I didn't even commemorate Wilder's first birthday with so much as a facebook post.

But hey - I made him not one, but TWO cakes. To make up for all the neglect, obviously. And seriously, that kid. Man, was he full of personality by the time he hit one. The chilled little baby we thought was so calm and content has been replaced with a hurricane of a little toddler who leaves destruction in his path, fears nothing, wants to do everything his big brother does, eats all the food, all the time, and barely sheds a tear when he's seriously hurt. He is one tough nugget.

On the other hand, he doesn't hold back the tears if he wants you to know just how pissed off he is that you're not letting him do something (or eat something).

It's amazing that two kids raised by the same people, in the same environment, can be so very different in temperament.

I can't wait to see what the next year holds.
