Prêt-à-Portea at the Berkeley, Knightsbridge

Sunday afternoon. The perfect time for a fashionable high tea with the girls, non?

Miss O booked Berkeley's Prêt-à-Portea an eternity ago as "something to look forward to in the new year", so it was a bit of a surprise when it actually rolled around.

If you're looking for the girliest afternoon tea you can find, this is your ticket. Cakes in the shape of handbags, cookies in the shape of boots...AND you get to spend the whole tea throwing statements like "Oh I do prefer the Prada to the Burberry" around.

Based on the latest season's catwalk, we ooh-ed and aah-ed over the ridiculously cute desserts, and the fabulous Paul Smith tea set.

We also witnessed Miss J's enjoyment at not just her first ever high tea, but her first ever macaroon. You read right. FIRST EVER. I know, I know, I don't know what she was doing in Scotland all those years.

When we were high on sugar, our sides hurting with laughter, they wheeled out our super bright, absolutely-freaking-adorable take away bags. As if this high tea could get any cuter.

Oh wait! It did.

Us with bags in front of bright yellow florals. Now THAT is cute.
