JUST SNAPPED @littleswallowchinadoll

NYC part 4: seconds, anyone?

Buoyed by reports of all day sunshine, we had big plans for Sunday - Central Park, a ferry ride, rooftop drinks...well, two out of three ain't bad.

Itty bitty cousin A joined us for a wander around Central Park in the morning - but not before Miss O kicked her day off with not just a hot dog and donut, but pictures in the hot dog van as well!

Yep, she even got to serve.

If you're ever passing by the Plaza Food Hall, make sure you stop in. It's at the southern end of Central Park, and is a great place to put together a little picnic for your park visit. Plus the strawberry and basil marshmallows = amaze balls.

Jumping for joy:

Appetites suitably worked up, we headed to Shake Shack for a greasy burger. Miss J and I thought it was heavenly - but considering we'd started the day with super fruit shakes, we were pretty hungry by the time we got to stuff our faces. Miss O, on the other hand, who had barely digested her sugary donut by this time, declared the patty too salty (shocking really, considering she's asian). The frozen custard was also mind blowing.

While we lunched, a sudden rainstorm blew through, putting our ferry plans on the back burner. So we bade a sad farewell to A, and headed to Chelsea Market for...um, more food, obviously.

They were some seriously awesome cookies: crunchy butterscotch heaven.

And that sushi was a-bloody-mazing.

As the rain abated, we ventured out to the High Line for a wander, and then to the Standard Hotel for a (breezy) rooftop cocktail and views across the Hudson before the rain came down again.

Like my new make-up bag?

After a trip home to freshen up, we decided to give Brooklyn a twirl, and headed to Park Slope where we found a cute little wine bar, Blueprint, to settle into for the night (credit to Miss J for remembering - my prosecco drenched mind failed terribly on that front). The tasting plate of meats and cheeses was gooooood.

I cannot remember giggling so much in a long time (and more pertinently, can't remember much about what we talked about at all - sign of a good night?).
